What is your specialty: Primary Eyecare Professionals (PEP) is an optometry practice specializing in state of the art eye care in a friendly atmosphere. We provide comprehensive eye care for the entire family, including children. We prescribe glasses and fit a wide variety of contact lenses. In addition, our doctors diagnose and treat injuries and diseases of the eye.

Tell us more: PEP offers an extensive selection of ophthalmic frames, lenses, and specialty lens treatments. Our dispensary features designer frames such as Coach, Kate Spade, Gucci, Kenneth Cole, Giorgio Armani, Swissflex, Eyephorics 2.5, Nike, Disney, and Fossil. Patients will also find budget saving frames for the cost conscious consumer. We are proud to offer Varilux progressive lenses, Teflon and Zeiss anti-reflective coatings, Transitions lenses, and many other lens options. We specialize in contact lenses for patients with astigmatism and bifocal contact lenses. We are also one of the few offices in the area offering the new tinted contact lens from Nike that enhances visual performance in sports.

Tell Us Something Interesting: PEP is a virtually paperless office! By embracing technology, we are able to provide a deeper look into the overall health of a patient. Gone are the days of utilizing slide projectors to view letters during an eye examination. The doctors at PEP utilize a 17” flat-screen computerized acuity system. This computerized software not only allows the doctors to randomize letters, but also to play Looney Tunes when examining children and also includes a photo library for patient education as well.

At PEP, we have the luxury of computer assisted refractions and electronic medical records. A streamlined, electronic medical records system assures our patients privacy and security during insurance claims, professional communications, and advanced medical referrals.

The doctors at PEP also utilize high-resolution digital photographs of the interior portion of the eye. This new technology can greatly aid in the doctor’s ability to accurately diagnose and document diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other retinal diseases. These images can be enhanced using sophisticated software to highlight any problem areas and can be sent electronically to a co-managing doctor, allowing for more timely diagnosis and treatment.
